Terms of Use
Last updated: 4 July 2026
1. Scope
These terms govern the use of the free web application Plates Calc at platescalculator.com, including the version added to your device's Home Screen. The service is provided by amazeing GmbH, Schützenplatz 10, 01067 Dresden, Germany (see the imprint). By using the site you accept these terms.
2. The service
Plates Calc calculates which weight plates to load on a barbell for a target weight. The service is provided free of charge, as is, and without any guarantee of permanent availability. We may change, interrupt or discontinue the service at any time.
3. Train at your own risk
Always check the actual load on the bar before you lift. Plates Calc is an arithmetic aid, not a substitute for your own judgement. Results depend on the settings and inventory you enter, and despite careful testing, errors cannot be ruled out. Weight training carries inherent risks; you train at your own responsibility. Nothing on this site is medical, coaching or professional advice.
4. Permitted use
You may use Plates Calc for personal and commercial training purposes. You may not misuse the site, in particular, you may not attempt to disrupt its operation, scrape it at abusive volume, or remove or misrepresent its authorship. All content, design and code remain protected by copyright (see the imprint).
5. Liability
For a service provided free of charge, we are liable without limitation only for intent (Vorsatz) and gross negligence (grobe Fahrlässigkeit), as well as for injury to life, body or health and under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz). In the event of a slightly negligent breach of an essential contractual obligation (Kardinalpflicht), our liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of service. Any further liability is excluded.
6. Third-party services
The waitlist form (Tally) and the support button (Buy Me a Coffee) are operated by third parties under their own terms. We are not a party to any relationship you enter into with them.
7. Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms with effect for the future. The version published on this page at the time of your use applies.
8. Governing law & final provisions
German law applies. If you are a consumer residing in the EU, the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected. Should individual provisions of these terms be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
